No love for Gabby?

Why is there no love for Gabriel Obertan?

Why is there no love for me?
I was snooping around the internet the other day in search for United news and I came across this article on the ESPNSTAR website with a story on how Obertan wants to take over for Valencia after that ankle break against Rangers.

"It is sad for Antonio, and he will have our full-support while he is injured. However, it also gives us players in the same position as him a chance to make an impact in the first-team."
~ Gabriel Obertan

Let's look at our wing options right now. With Valencia out till next year and Giggs sidelined with a hamstring injury for a few weeks at least, our available wingers are Nani, Park, Obertan, and Bébé. Out of those four, Nani is the most likely to be playing every week and that's down to his incredible form over the start of the season.

Obertan will definitely give us another attacking outlet with his speed and penetration. What he lacks however, is the defensive prowess and stamina that Park can offer us. It all depends on the situation, but say Sir Alex wanted to contain the opposition, much like Valencia last night, then Park would the ideal player.

I think that there is love for Obertan. There is, in fact, a lot of love for Obertan and it's just not showing too much right now. We'll see it one day, and I have a sneaky feeling that Obertan will get his chance very soon... And when he does, expect him to take it with several step-overs and drag-backs.
