Rooney Revitalised?

Everyone's talking about how Wayne's doing a Tiger, but looks like he's responded like the taunted and caged lion he is.

Look at him.

Barely 10 minutes into the game against Suisse, which Don Fabio started him for—some say controversially—Rooney finds the back of the net from a low cross from Glen Johnson, his first goal for England in 12 months. He didn't celebrate - so either that wasn't enough to relieve the tension, or he knows it wasn't exactly the most flash goal ever...

But! I bemoan the timing of these damn allegations into his private life, where it was alleged that he was having extra marital affairs with a prostitute.

Come on, journos. He was just getting back on his feet.

It's not all bad news though... seeing as in his first match coming off these revelations, he scored a goal. Maybe we'll see how he does this weekend against Everton...
Maybe (hopefully, clutching-at-straws-ly), this'll herald the comeback of the old tenacious, tempestuous, rip-roaring Rooney that we'd all come to know and love!

... someone's gotta think positive.
