Chicha + Berba?

I don't think I'm the first, nor will I be the last to say this, but did you SEE how Chicharito played with Berbatov? The pair's partnership last night was electrifying. They came on and gelled so effortlessly—Hernandez (I have to slip that once in a while...) with his quick-feet, his lightning speed and Berbatov, whose elegant (... as an alternative to "languid") touches and passes—undoubtedly a match made in heaven.

I'm hopeful that these two, who in fairness outshone the Rooney/Owen partnership from the first half, can provide the 30-40 goals between them for us this season. Rooney, who's been one of our main men for the past 5-6 seasons, hasn't quite been himself—we all watched the World Cup (... right?!), and the tenacity wasn't there. I'm a firm believer, as anyone would be when Wayne Rooney is involved, that form is temporary and class is permanent. So, when, not if, Rooney's back to his devastating best, we'll have something that'd get even the most ardent Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool, City, Real, Milan, Bayern (... you get the picture) fans quaking in their boots if and when they see United's fixture next up on the list.

Tantalising prospect? You bet.
