Top of the league

Top of the league, top of the league.

"And we haven't even been playing well."

But then again, none of the teams at the top have been. I mean, really, it was only Chelsea who seemed to be running away with it earlier on this season. But they've since hit a very bad slump in form which has seen them slip to 4th.

We've been consistent, for the most part, this season. We were consistently bad early on, draws away from home and throwing away leads, but that gradually became consistently good—grinding out results and winning, sometimes ugly.

And a big big thing, which Sir Alex has tried to play down, is the fact that we're unbeaten—and it doesn't look like we will be beaten any time soon. Tap wood.

I'm generally encouraged, as a United fan, for the way this season is going to pan out. We've also joined the 6+ goals in a match club with our drubbing of Blackburn a few weeks ago, so we've definitely arrived on the scene, ready to rumble for, really, the first time this season—and lo! We're sitting at the top of the pile.

We've got Chelski coming up this weekend, but we can conquer anyone the way we're playing right at this moment!

If this is kept up 'til May to +1 our title tally, I'd be intensely pleased.
