Rival Watch: City, Arsenal, Chelsea who?
So Amer's already revealed how Chelsea lost to Wolves. Lol-worthy right there! A Jose Bosingwa OG after 5 minutes, and the inability to score any for the proceeding 85 minutes, sealed their fate.
But more big news is that City and Arsenal played each other to a nil-nil draw at the Emirates, meaning both teams lose ground on us! Any result would have resulted in at least one of our rivals slipping up, but the draw (0-0 at that) was obviously the optimum one and we got it!
(And apparently Zabaleta and Sagna got sent off after that there head-butt. Hilarity!)
Another one to report: Everton 2-1 Tottenham Hotspur. Yeah, Spurs lost. That's like, a clean sweep of good results for the top of the table! (from our perspective...) So it's looking rosy so far, let's hope this continues!
And just for good measure, Blackburn beat Liverpool (I was gonna say "humiliate", but does that really count?) 3-1 at Ewood Park, goals by Olsson, and a brace from Benjani.
But not only did they beat those Scousers, they also go above them in the table. Fantastic? I think so.
So I'd already written off Chelsea's title hopes (or at least, am increasingly skeptical that they've got it in them to bounce back) and Arsenal and City are tripping each other up, all while we're sitting gleefully at the top, looking down. 2011's going to be an epic year, folks. (TAP WOOD!)
